Koishikawa Botanical Garden is located in the center of northern half of central Tokyo. Edo shogunate established the garden as a medicinal herb garden in 1689 and a hospital for poor people in 1722. After the Meiji restoration, the garden was transferred to the University of Tokyo in 1877. Now it is operated by the University of Tokyo Graduate School of Science.
While the garden is well kept and controlled, there are lives and powers escaping or stretching over the control.
