30 Kudanshita／九段下

Kudanshita Station is located at the foot of Kudan Slope beside the inner moat of Edo Castle.

In the middle of Kudan Slope is Tayasu Gate of Edo Castle, which is an entrance to Kitanomaru Park, where apartments for soldiers protecting an emperor in the park were located until 1945.  After the WWII, the apartments were used by university students as self-government dormitories until 1966.  From the place, you can see the Nippon Budokan where the Beatles held live concerts in 1966.

Chidori-ga-fuchi, a part of the inner moat of Edo Castle surrounding Kitanomaru Park, is nationally famous for cherry blossoms.

Yasukuni Shrine is located at the head of Kudan Slope.
