It is a two-minute walk from Wakamatsu Exit of Wakamatsu-kawada station to Tokyo Women’s Medical University.
Just beside Kawada Exit of Wakamatsu-kawada station is Ogasawara-Hakushaku-Tei, the former residence of Count Ogasawara built in 1927 in the Spanish Colonial Revival Style.
A quiet ordinary residential area remains around the station.
Toyama Heights was developed as a large housing development after the WWII on the former site of army schools and rebuilt into reinforced concrete buildings in the period from 1968 to 1976. 56% of the residents are over 65 years old and many of them have lived in the same apartment more than 50 years.
