There are many large sports equipment shops along the Yasukuni street under which Ogawamchi Station is located.
Once you step into an alley beside Yasukuni street, you can find small bars and restaurants among small office and residential buildings.
On a corner in this area stand old Japanese-style buildings of restaurants and a Japanese confectionary store which were built around 1930 and survived the Great Tokyo Air Raid.
The elementary school in this area was closed in 1993 due to sudden decrease in population caused by sharp rise in land prices during the bubble economy in late 1980s, and after a longtime discussions on town planning, the office and residential complex buildings were developed in 2013.
